This tour is perfect for travellers who wish to explore the quieter, more scenic side of the Cotswolds at a relaxed pace. Enjoy picturesque drives through rolling hills, historic market towns, and traditional stone villages, with plenty of time to soak in the atmosphere and take photos.

What to Expect

Your journey begins with a scenic drive through the rolling countryside and honey-stone villages that define the southern Cotswolds. Each stop has its own character and charm — from riverside cottages and medieval abbeys to charming market squares.

Bibury

Often called the most beautiful village in England, Bibury’s Arlington Row is a picture-perfect terrace of weavers’ cottages beside the River Coln. Its timeless charm makes it a must-see Cotswolds destination.

Tetbury and Malmesbury

Explore the historic market town of Tetbury, known for antique shops and royal connections, and Malmesbury, an ancient hilltop town with an impressive Abbey and gardens said to be the resting place of England’s first king.

Castle Combe

Step into another world in Castle Combe, often called England’s prettiest village. Cobblestone streets, stone cottages, and the Bybrook stream make it one of the most photogenic villages in England.

Lacock

A beautifully preserved medieval village cared for by the National Trust, Lacock has featured in films such as Harry Potter and Downton Abbey. Stroll its cobbled lanes or visit Lacock Abbey, the birthplace of photography.

Optional Extension: Bath

For those who wish to include a city visit, the elegant city of Bath can be added to your day. Explore its Roman Baths, Royal Crescent, and Georgian streets, or enjoy boutique shopping and a coffee in one of Bath’s charming cafés. This optional addition will extend the tour to approximately 9–10 hours.
