Northern Cotswolds Tour
Wherever you are, we’ll come to you! We offer pick-ups from any location — hotels in Broadway, local villages, train stations, airports, or even seaports — so your Cotswolds adventure begins the moment you’re ready.
Here’s a taste of what you can discover on our Northern Cotswolds route:
-
Broadway – Often called the “Jewel of the Cotswolds”, Broadway is a picture-perfect village with a wide High Street lined with honey-coloured cottages, boutique shops, art galleries, and tearooms. It’s a wonderful place to begin your journey.
-
Stanton & Snowshill – Two hidden gems where time seems to stand still. Stanton is one of the most unspoilt villages in the Cotswolds, full of golden-stone cottages and a lovely old church. Snowshill is equally charming, famous for its dramatic hillside views and the quirky Snowshill Manor, once home to an eccentric collector.
-
Broadway Tower – Perched high on the escarpment, this striking 18th-century folly offers breathtaking panoramic views across 16 counties on a clear day. It’s a favourite photo stop, and history lovers may enjoy the small museum and even a glimpse of the former nuclear bunker beneath.
-
Chipping Campden – A graceful wool-merchant town with one of the most beautiful High Streets in England. The 17th-century Market Hall, the grand “wool church” of St James, and the charming almshouses tell the story of its rich history. Today, it’s also known as a centre for the Arts & Crafts movement.
-
Stow-on-the-Wold – This lively market town sits on top of the Cotswold hills, with antique shops, cosy tearooms, and traditional pubs clustered around its Market Square. Don’t miss the magical “Yew Tree Door” at St Edward’s Church — said to have inspired Tolkien’s imagery for The Lord of the Rings.
-
The Slaughters – Despite their name, Upper and Lower Slaughter are two of the most peaceful villages in the Cotswolds. The River Eye meanders through, crossed by little stone footbridges, and in Lower Slaughter you’ll find a beautifully preserved old mill by the water.
-
Bourton-on-the-Water – Known as the “Venice of the Cotswolds”, Bourton’s low stone bridges cross the River Windrush, creating a picture-postcard scene. Visitors love its riverside walks, the Model Village (a perfect miniature of Bourton itself), Birdland Park and Gardens, and the Cotswold Motoring Museum.
✨ The best part? All of our tours are tailored to you. If you’d like more time for gardens, shopping, photography, or a relaxed pub lunch, we’ll adjust the route to suit your pace and preferences.
